The aim of Witte Contemporary it's to position itself as the main gallery that promotes super-contemporary Romanian art in international context. Since the world-wide large interest on the Romanian contemporary art, and the general point of view as beeing one of the leading centers in Europe for the post 2000 artistic production, Witte Contemporary will focus on two aspects of the contemporary national art scene. First, as many different countries in Europe, in Romania we could also speak of a different cultural context from one socio-politically area to another. Witte Contemporary will focus mainly on the Bucharest center of visual arts, the most well known alongside the acclaimed Cluj School of Painting. Second, mostly it will target the young generation, artists until 35 years that develop a particular style specific to the context in which the artistic object was made. The program that Witte Contemporary will bring in the art market will consist in establishing an national and afterward international context. Cultural exchanges and participations in galleries or art fairs and biennales abroad ,will be a main focus in the Witte's Contemporary program.
